Donors, Supporters and Partners
To receive support from our community is a blessing, and we are grateful to our donors and partners for all they do to benefit the North Lawndale community. From everyone at Harmony Community Cares, thank you.
Organizational Partners
Greater Chicago Food Depository
The Greater Chicago Food Depository provides our food pantry with the groceries that nourish our community. Each year, they offer us over 400,000 pounds of food which we distribute to the families of North Lawndale.
The Read Easy
The ReadEasy was founded on the belief that quality intensive reading instruction should be available to all, regardless of income level, race, geography and ability. Literacy is not only a goal, but a right for all. Since 2018, The ReadEasy has partnered with HCC creating a summer intensive reading clinic that is fun, engaging and has produced consistent positive results.
West Side United and Mount Sinai Hospital
West Side United is a consortium of hospitals that partners with food pantries on the West side of Chicago, which believes that if organizations provide better nutrition, healthcare providers will have less patients and can better serve those who come through. Mount Sinai Hospital is our partner through West Side United.
RRF - Foundation for Aging
RRF supports the Harmony Food Pantry’s Senior Program, which provides grocery deliveries, nutritional resources, and quarterly workshops to people over the age of 65 who live in the area around Harmony Community Church.

Individual Donors
Harmony Community Cares is grateful for each donation we receive from individuals. The power of our community cannot be understated and every piece of support helps us to plant seeds of love and cultivate hope by providing access to healthy food, academic enrichment, social and spiritual support, and a safe environment for people in North Lawndale and surrounding communities. We humbly thank you for your generosity.
Food Pantry Volunteers
We are immensely grateful for our volunteers who help channel the mission of Harmony Food Pantry. Between July 2022 and June 2023, we had over 100 volunteers who donated over 6,000 hours of their time. If your name is not on this list, please know that we do recognize each volunteer’s contribution and generosity.

Academic Enrichment Volunteers
We could not impact our students’ lives the way we do without our Academic Enrichment volunteers. These people work one-on-one with our students to make sure that they have the tools needed to succeed academically. To each of our volunteers, who dedicate their time to the youth of North Lawndale, we thank you.
